18 year old wunderkind producer December Beaches guides us through a tunnel of tracks that sound like the dystopian love child of Chicago House and Detroit Techno.
Existential Dance Music at its finest and featuring Melbourne (Australia) techno wizard - Shedbug's dirty modular remix of the title cut. A one of hand cut vinyl was made especially for the occasion for collectors. As highlander once said - "There can (will) only be one!"
Some words about the release from December Beaches -
“Stylistically, the record was trying to emulate the idea of dance music. I want to make very dance-y music but the vibe needs to be airy and broken almost. I’m a big cyber punk fan and the William Gibson quote - ‘High Tech and Low Life’ is probably the best way to describe the stuff. The track Moonboots features an interview with designer Rick Owens, the title references his sneakers which look much like ‘Moonboots’. I recorded this during late nights when I should have been studying for exams or applying for college. I tried to capture the feeling you get when you have been sitting at a computer until 4 in the morning on a Tuesday..”
